Point 35 Microstructures Wins Prestigious NMI Award for Innovation |
Point 35 Microstructures is very pleased to announce that it has been awarded the 2006 National Microelectronics Institute (NMI) award for Innovation. The award was presented by Robert Marshall of NXP Semiconductors at a ceremony in London attended by over 200 representatives of the UK Microelectronics industry.
The citation was as follows: “The NMI Award for Innovation 2006 recognises a company from the Semiconductor Equipment & Materials sector that is developing exciting new equipment combined with an innovative business model. While demonstrating technical and service innovation, this company has also developed an enviable reputation for service delivery.
Taking all these factors into account NXP Semiconductors is very pleased to announce that this year the award goes to Point35 Microstructures ”.
In accepting the award, Mike Leavy, CEO of Point 35 Microstructures said; “As well as being an honour being nominated for this award, I am very pleased that our business objective of being recognised as a high quality supplier to the microelectronics industry has been so publicly acknowledged. We have worked hard to ensure that Point 35 is seen as a trusted partner by our customers in what is a highly demanding environment for all of us. We will continue to instil this philosophy in the Point 35 team as we develop our business in Europe and World-Wide. We are especially pleased by the award as we have only been in full operation for some 3 years and to receive such recognition at such an early stage sets an excellent base from which we will continue to expand our products and services”.
