1ST MEMSSTAR® SYSTEMS SIGNED OFF BY CUSTOMER06.10.2005 SMC has taken delivery of the world's first two memsstars® for use within its advanced development facility in Edinburgh.
memsstar® replaces wet liquid processing methods for release and surface engineering for MEMS devices with advanced process control and process sequence integration, on a state-of-the-art vapour phase processing system. SMC will use the memsstar® systems for advanced device and materials research within its class 100 cleanroom environment, where it serves industry companies involved in MEMS and nanotechnology.
